TOMBUKTU - NOTES FOR AN APOCALYPTIC FILM
AV Performance
'30-'45
A real-time audiovisual ritual based on the photographic archive of the author's father - images taken in the Sahara in the '80s - which meet images taken by the author, on similar routes 35 years later.
Three simultaneous projections, both analog and digital, intertwine with live improvisation, combining traditional instruments and electronics.
A journey through memory, desert landscapes and their distortions, encountering Tuareg culture through the poetic voice of Hawad.
